How we keep your money - and your data - safe, secure and protected

Your money is safe
Did you know that any money in your Bó account is protected by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS)?
This means that if anything was to happen to Bó, any money in your account would be protected up the sum of £85,000 (at the moment the maximum you can have in your Bó account at any one time is £5,000, so you'd be well protected). However, if you have accounts with Bó and NatWest then the maximum you would be able to claim would be £85,000 across all accounts.
Keeping your personal details and account secure
Every time you log in to Bó, we will ask you for a six-digit passcode that only you should know. If you enter these details incorrectly more than three times we will block you from entering your passcode for 20 minutes.
After nine failed attempts we will lock your account and you will have to contact the Bó Support team to unlock it. Your unique passcode helps us make sure that you and only you can access your account. So don't share this code with anyone! And if you think someone knows your passcode, cancel your card straight away. You can do this by tapping Card settings in the app.
Adding biometrics (Face and Fingerprint ID) is an extra level of security we are working on adding to Bó as just another layer of security to keep your account safe.

If you misplace your card or have it stolen, you can automatically lock it from the app, which means no one can make payments from your account (if it turns up you can also instantly unlock it from the app).
Time out
If you're logged into Bó and leave your phone lying around, we'll time you out after a few minutes. This means no one else can log into your account or make payments.
Card Locking/Unlocking
If you misplace your card or have it stolen, you can automatically lock it from the app, which means no one can make payments from your account (if it turns up you can also instantly unlock it from the app). All you need to do is head to the Account tab, tap Card settings and then lock or unlock your card. The image should appear in full colour or greyed out depending on which state your card is in.
Lost your phone?
If you lose your phone or it has been stolen, get in touch with our Support Team as soon as you can. They'll be able to help secure your account.
If you want to know more about how we keep your money and data safe, secure and protected, read our FAQs or contact our Support Team. Or if you want to know more about our Privacy Policy, check it out here.
